Technics su-z2 manual

Manufactured in Spain. The transformer is a bit noisy. Has all the protection required to avoid an accident by overheating or overload. But it's just a STK, with a modest sound. Neither the design is spectacular. It is recommended just for entry level.

Reviewed Jan 07th, by jethro I bought one of these as an Ebay fixer-upper very cheaply. Amazingly it had a production build fault that meant no panel lights came on. The main pcb could also be configured SU-Z not sure about the differences and that's where the screwup came about.

The panel leds are all powered from a current reg TR Q but the current setting resistor R only connects one end.

Just link the free end to D cathode. The area around Q had got quite hot so resoldering and wire linking were necessary. I changed D zener to 10V D measured V on ext test to set current to 20mA - the rating of the leds. The lower part of the rectangular display has no leds because the pcb was missing. You can see where it clips in but it's not there and not in the partial schema.

Obviously not fitted at the factory. There were no other probs even the slider pots are as new except the plastic front assembly which is VERY weak where plastic arms support the pcb and top cover. I removed a collection of little plastic bits.

SUZ2 my father bought it new with other vintage items when he was studying medicine, we still have it and it is fantastic for the real presentation of an amplifier with the buttons at hand, the simplicity in something fine, on the other hand 35 rms in an integrated is a very satisfactory power to listen to music continuously until today and..

Reviewed Nov 22nd, by vglory Reviewed Apr 30th, by RolandTR I bought this amp just for the looks. And it is really beautiful with the VU meters. I compared it to a Marantz B receiver an it was defeated. This amp is not bad, but a little on the bright side compared to the Marantz.

Reviewed May 30th, by Madmac. I bought the set out of nostalgia, the VU meters look so cool. But hooking it up I am truly amazed about the sound!

I don't need tone controll at all, the unit has this natural beefy sound. It's hooked up to a Wharfedale passive subwoofer which is connected to two decent satellites and the sound is simply amazing. Every switch and controll works trouble free. Even cosmetic it's in mint condition. It's true, they don't build it like that anymore Never expected this from this set. I play my old records over it on a Philips direct drive turntable and I am happy as a kid!

Conclusion: if you see this amp passing by, it's worth your money. Cheers, Ludo. Reviewed Jan 20th, by Darrenvogt. Reviewed Feb 12th, by jeck s. Reviewed Mar 21st, by damian Hello, I've owned one of these SUZ2 units for a number of years now.

Would there be any necessity to replace all of the electrolytic capacitors in the unit? Could you tell me what kind of diodes these are and if it is possible to get some new diodes? How did you managed to get this type of light in to those small clips?

I have the same size of light and i dont see how i can get it in Thanks in advance. You have to check the characteristics of the old light and you can replace by a led based on same characteristics. You can use whatever color based on your preferences.
